ABOUT STUDIO TAKITIMU
Studio Takitimu, conveniently located 30 minutes from the Kerikeri airport in the beautiful Bay of Islands, has been Matt’s vision after many years of worldwide travel, this is his opportunity to show the world what New Zealand has to offer.
While this is a very exciting project, it’s just like Matt’s art, ever evolving and growing into a new and exciting experience continuously.
Surrounded by nature and some of the countries most untouched beautiful landscapes, Studio Takitimu
offers an experience like no other.
Experience
Studio Takitimu is all about that Aotearoa experience. No matter what your interest are the Far North has something to offer. Whether it’s beautiful beaches (Matauri Bay, Te Ngaire Bay, Mahineapua), waterfalls, (Rainbow Falls and Charlies Rock), visiting the markets, or checking out the Makana chocolate factory, all are within a short drive from the studio and your accommodation. If the weather is good and you are up for it, we can take the studio boat out and hopefully land a kingfish, go for a hike or even a swim in a freshwater stream. There are countless things to see and do. Contact us for a tailor-made package to suit your needs and interests.
Food
Lunch is provided daily, we can cater to any dietary requirements. Often on completion of a large piece we will have a celebratory feast in our outdoor kitchen.
